About The Event

Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are vital to Africa’s prosperity, accounting for about 70% of GDP in most countries, while representing 90% of trade and providing an estimated 80% of all jobs across the continent. MSMEs are also recognised as major players in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) due to their ability to create jobs and reduce poverty. And yet we know that many MSMEs in Africa continue to face numerous constraints and challenges in acquiring the right skills and resources for growth, leading to stagnation. Whatever your background, this workshop will provide useful knowledge and information to help grow your enterprise. It seeks to support MSMEs and start-ups across sectors as part of capacity building, networking and mentoring designed to overcome barriers to skills development and access to opportunities. It seeks to empower enterprise founders, developers or owners with the tools and opportunities to succeed. The workshop will focus on hands-on, interactive knowledge exchange and skills development tailored to meet and solve some of the needs and challenges MSMEs face. We will explore how to navigate opportunities and challenges, while also sharing case studies. Learn about how to get your business idea funded, set up, and running. Join us to unlock valuable connections to improve competitiveness and grow your business.
